| This report provides an overview of Cambridgeshire Constabulary's performance in relation to areas of its operational activity that have been assessed as relevant to Race Equality, either because these areas seem to be having an adverse impact on the trust and confidence of people from minority ethnic groups, or because improving our performance in relation to particular crimes reported by people from minority ethnic communities will assist us to meet our duty to eliminate discrimination and promote race equality and good relations between people from different groups.
The information contained within this report is presented on a regular basis to the Constabulary's Diversity Steering Group which is chaired by the Chief Constable, to agree action to improve performance in necessary areas and to monitor whether the action taken is having a positive impact.
This report will be extended to other areas of diversity and other relevant areas of our activity as data becomes available.
