Cambridgeshire Countryside Watch

Photo of HorseCountryside Watch was established in Cambridgeshire in 1993 to reduce crime and the fear of crime in rural areas.

The organisation works in partnership with Cambridgeshire Constabulary, The National Farmers' Union (NFU) and other rural agencies to help combat rural crime. The mutli-agency networks have seen a reduction in crime in some rural areas by more than 23%.

Photo of CowsThe scheme is not only for those living in Cambridgeshire's countryside, it also targets horse owners, rural businesses and all those that use and enjoy the countryside.

The Cambridgeshire Countryside Watch website provides a comprehensive guide to the work of Countryside Watch, and the benefits of joining the scheme for different countryside users. Log on their site at www.cambscountrysidewatch.org.uk .
